What is EWOT Therapy or Exercise with Oxygen?
EWOT (pronounced E Watt) means Exercise With Oxygen Therapy. We founded EWOT.com in 2008 and were the very first company online to offer EWOT products. We developed the first open flow OxySport Headset which connected directly to the O2 generator. We were also the first company to combine EWOT with whole body vibration systems (specifically the TurboSonic and now the Sonic Life brand) which took health benefits to another level.
Over the years and with the publication of scientific works by Dr. Manfred von Ardenne, M.D. (of the Manfred Von Ardenne Research Institute in Dresden, Germany), new exercise with EWOT therapy equipment became available. The foundation of all O2 protocols was developed by Manfred in the late 60s. With over 500 references published in Oxygen Multistep Therapy, Physiological and Technical Foundations, this book lays out the framework for what is now considered the Bible of O2 therapy. His research revealed astonishing results and proven mechanisms for restoring microcirculation (which makes up 76% of the circulatory system) and optimizing energy production (ATP). To date, nothing in complementary Medicine compares to the domino effect body wide for restoring human health and in fact, to potentially offer superhuman benefits. There are many EWOT systems on the market.
EWOT is the act of breathing higher concentrations of oxygen during exercise. In the past, simple masks and nasal cannulas connected directly to an oxygen generator were the best methods. However, oxygen generators only produce 10 Liters Per Minute (LPM) at maximum. When you exercise, you can easily breathe 60-70+ LPM. This means you are "blending" the 93% pure oxygen from the generator within the mask or around the cannula. Since these oxygen delivery products allow room air in, you're not coming close to getting the high purity and flow required. This problem is solved with our EWOT System.
EWOTuses an oxygen generator to fill a large medical grade bag that holds 900 liters of oxygen. A high-flow mask is attached to that bag. Now every breath you take is 93% oxygen with NO room air. The EWOT mask does NOT allow any room air inside. Only the oxygen in the bag is inhaled as a valve in the mask opens then, as you exhale, CO2 goes out through the CO2 port on the mask. The mask included with our EWOT System is the highest flow, non-restricted mask on the market. It's like breathing without one, it's that good.
Explained below:
The EWOT Therapy (shown at left) includes everything you need except an oxygen generator and fitness equipment. You can use your own oxygen generator or pick one of the two we offer. Any oxygen generator will work with the BASIC packages listed above. However, keep in mind that higher LPM (liters per minute) will fill the bag faster. A 5 LPM unit will take about three hours to fill and 10 LPM will take half that time. If you have access to your own generator, try to get a 10 LPM. You can pick any one of our two generators before you add to cart, or choose None if you have your own. You can utilize as many oxygen generators at the same time to fill the bag faster. Simply order the EWOT Multi-Port separately.
The second package is EWOT Altitude (switch between rich and low oxygen with adjustable hypoxic purity). This system is the BASIC package above PLUS a smaller bag, oxygen purity switch and a 10 LPM Altitude Tech generator is added. The system allows the user to switch between any purity (simulating sea level to 25,000 feet) and 93% oxygen. The Altitude system requires this generator to accommodate the small air bag that provides the adjustable oxygen levels.
Why allow switching of any purity?
Many athletes are highly conditioned and when they breathe high purity O2, they cannot get their heart rate over 110 Beats Per Minute (BPM). This is critical to dilate the arteries to maximum level and assist oxygen in reaching deep oxygen-deprived tissues. The process is to workout at a normal pace for approximately 3 minutes with 93% O2, then switch to altitude (e.g., 14% purity which is approx 9000 feet) and sprint for 30 seconds followed by an immediate switch to 93% for another 30 seconds while sprinting. Then resume to a normal pace and BPM for 3 minutes, and repeat the cycle 3-4 times. This is also very beneficial to anyone (athlete or not) as it will accelerate the benefits.
Oxygen Hose Guide, Positive Pressure & Bag Holds O2 (won't leak)
Our EWOT System offers the patent pending Automatic Positive Pressure System (APPS) which slowly pushes oxygen out to the mask just like an oxygen generator does. This is accomplished with the two white horizontal ribs shown in photos. They are attached after the bag is filled. This increases the efficiency of delivery regardless of how much oxygen is left in the bag. This does not interfere with the normal inhalation reflex. It is calibrated to make breathing as normal as possible. No other system offers this feature. In addition, the oxygen hose in other systems will constantly get in the way as your hands or arms move.
We include a two-way Velcro® Strap that attaches to your fitness equipment to solve this problem. The strap has dual rotating adjustable loops so your oxygen hose can be positioned anywhere you desire. It guides the hose without restricting its movement while the other half of the strap remains fixed. In addition, our bag is frequency welded so oxygen doesn't leak when filling or during idle periods. Our main port vents o2 and allows the bag to breathe when not in use to prevent mildew.
Cleanest Oxygen
Both EWOT systems use a trip-stage filtration and the last state is HEPA to provide the cleanest O2 available. 
Adjustable Purity
Our Altitude system uses a true altitude O2 Generator which offers 95% purity and a fully adjustable altitude purity that ranges from sea level to 25,000 feet. No other system offers the flexibility to users who may not be able to exercise at the fixed purity of 14% that other systems offer.
Both EWOT packages come with our blue medical grade mask. However, you may want to order extra masks for other family members or your clients to purchase from you. We suggest the clear masks for clinics to sell to customers due to the lower price. Blue masks are medial grade silicone and can withstand autoclave, sterilization procedures, etc. The clear masks can be sanitized by cleaning with warm soapy water.
